Swine Flu Claims 293 Lives In Maharashtra

In Maharashtra,Death toll due to Swine flu has touched 293 till date, with 5 more people succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.
According to the information given by the State Health Department, 76 new patients tested positive for Swine flu in last 24 hours, taking the number of swine flu affected cases in the state to 3483.
Of these, 1255 cases were reported from Mumbai, 997 cases from Pune and 468 cases from Nagpur.
The state health department has stated that it is well equipped to handle prevention and control of the disease and has adequate availability of the anti-viral medicine Oseltamivir that is used in treating swine flu.
