Delhi Police Not To Allow Opposition Parties For Protest March From Parliament House To Rashtrapati Bhawan Against Land Bill

Delhi police Tuesday said, it will not allow Opposition parties to march towards Rashtrapati Bhawan in protest against NDA government’s Land Acquisition Bill. According to sources, political parties have not sought permission to stage the protest.
Police said, Section 144 is in place in the area. Congress and other opposition parties have planned a protest march from Parliament House to Rashtrapati Bhawan this evening. Congress President Sonia Gandhi is likely to lead the protest.
Monday , senior Congress leaders including Jairam Ramesh, Raj Babbar and Randeep Surjewala had led a march to Parliament in protest against what they called the Land Grabbing Bill.
The Lok Sabha passed the Land Acquisition Bill via a voice vote last week. Nine amendments to the Bill have been adopted.
