Eight YSR Congress MLAs Suspended From AP Assembly For 3 Days
19 March, Hyderabad
Eight Legislators belonging to Opposition YSR Congress Party were suspended Thursday from Andhra Pradesh Assembly for three days.
Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu moved the suspension motion and it was adopted by the house by a Voice Vote.
Moving the suspension motion, Legislative Affairs minister said that the Members were suspended up to 23rd of this month for repeatedly obstructing the proceedings and also making remarks against the Speaker.
Condemning the suspension, the YSR CP members refused to leave the house. They rushed into the Well and raised slogans against the Speaker, alleging that he was biased.
When suspended Members stay put in the house despite several pleas by the Speaker, the marshals forcibly shifted the suspended MLAs out of the House. The remaining slogan-shouting members of the YSR Congress Party continued to obstruct the proceedings.
