Third WC Quarter Final: Australia Bundle Out Pakistan For 213 in 49.5 overs

Australia Bundled out Pakistan for 213 runs in 49.5 overs in the third Quarter Final of the 11th Cricket World Cup at Adelaide Oval Friday.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. But the decision did not proved to be right for the Pakistan team which lost wickets regular intervals from the beginning .

Pakistan which lost first wicket in 4.4 over when the score was 20 , the next wicket fell at 24 in 5.1 over. . At one point of time Pakistan were 90 for loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs.

Haris Sohail is the highest scorer with 41 followed by Misbah –Ul-Haq 34 .

The Australian pacers exhibited their excellence both in bowling and fielding today..

Both and For Australia Josh Hazlewood bagged four wickets while Mitchell Starc and Glen Maxwell took two wickets each. Mitchell Johnson and James Faulkner took one wicket each.

The hosts have made one change for today’s game. Paceman Josh Hazlewood has replaced Pat Cummins. Pakistan, on the other hand, have gone with the same team that played against Ireland.

Both teams have met eight times in the World Cup, with each having won equal number of matches.
Today’s winner will take on defending champions India for a place in the final.

South Africa is the other team that has made it to the last-4 stage. In the semi-finals, they will play against the winners of the fourth and last quarterfinal between New Zealand and the West Indies which will be played tomorrow- Saturday.
