Militants Attack Police Station In Kathua, J&K, One Policeman Killed

Armed with Automatic weapons , militants attacked a police station in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir Friday .

Police said, a group of militants attacked the Police Station in Raj Bagh area around 6.20 this morning. Security Forces retaliated to the attack and an encounter is going on between them.

One policeman has been killed and three are injured,” the Police said .
Reinforcements have been rushed to the spot. However, latest reports said the militants have entered the police station, 65 kms from here on the Jammu-Pathankot national highway.
Traffic on the strategic highway has been stopped.
Twelve people were killed on September 26, 2013 when guerrillas had attacked Hiranagar police station in Kathua district and later entered an army camp on the Jammu-Pathankote national highway.
