President Kovind completes 100 days in office

President Ram Nath Kovind completed 100 days in office on Wednesday.Mr Kovind, who assumed the office on July 25 as the 14th president, has undertaken visits to the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

His first foreign visit was to Djibouti and Ethiopia from October 3 to 6.According to sources, during this period he has received credentials from 12 ambassadors and high commissioners, including the Russian ambassador and the Pakistan High Commissioner.

He also presided over the conference of Governors last month and is being credited with making the Rashtrapati Bhavan more accessible to the public.

Recently, the Rashtrapati Bhavan also hosted a function for the culmination of Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s ‘Bharat Yatra’, a movement to spread awareness about child abuse and trafficking.
