Ashok Leyland on track to meet 2020 emission norms

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, on Monday announced that it has achieved its internal milestone for the full range of medium and heavy commercial vehicle on the road to meeting the BS-VI emission norms. Dr N Saravanan, Senior Vice President, Product Development, Ashok Leyland, said, “We are pleased to share that we have now achieved our internal milestone on emission capability for our entire range of M&HCV vehicles.

“Our new technology continues to build upon the successfully proven iEGR engine platform. We are now well on track in our preparedness for the 2020 launch,” he said, according to official statement here.

The Supreme Court had said no BS-IV vehicles would be allowed to be sold across the country from April 1, 2020.
