Pak High Commission Should Not Become Center Of Anti-India Activities : BJP

BJP Monday cautioned Pakistan saying that its High Commission in New Delhi should not become a centre of anti-India activities. It said there is no scope for any third-party intervention in bilateral issues between India and Pakistan.

Party Secretary Shrikant Sharma said the NDA government had made a beginning in improving ties with Islamabad but it has so far not got an encouraging response in resolving bilateral issues. He said Pakistan should take a lesson from India’s action when it cancelled talks with it after they convened a meeting with separatist Kashmiri leaders in the past.

Mr. Sharma said the neighbouring country should take stern steps to check infiltration of militants into Indian side. The BJP leader’s remarks came in the backdrop of Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit’s meeting with separatist Kashmiri leaders in its High Commission in New Delhi while celebrating Pakistan’s National Day.
