Union Cabinet Approves Setting Up Of 73 Super Computers For Accurate Weather Forecasting

The Cabinet has cleared pooling of natural gas prices.

The move will help revive stuck power plants run on natural gas. The decision was taken by the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday evening.

Power Minister Piyush Goyal told reporters in New Delhi that at least 31 plants based on gas, will be benefited.

In another important decision, the Cabinet gave its nod to declare 101 waterways as National Waterways.

Communication and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that currently there are only five national water ways.

He also said that the Cabinet has approved setting up 73 super-computer in the country for more accurate weather forecasting.
