Campaigning for fourth phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections concludes

Ranchi, December 14 :

Campaigning for the fourth phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections ended this evening. Star campaigners of various political parties made last-ditch efforts to woo the voters.

Addressing an election rally at Giridih, BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, opposition parties are confusing people over Citizenship Amendment Act. He said, BJP is not anti-Muslim and the Centre is committed to protecting the rights and interests of the community.

JMM leader Hemant Soren said, if his alliance is voted to power, 27 per cent reservation will be given to OBCs and loans of farmers will be waived.

Jharkhand Vikas Morcha Chief Babulal Marandi alleged that the state government cancelled over five lakh cards of poor.

Leaders of RJD, Congress and left parties also addressed rallies in favour of their party candidates.

15 constituencies spread over four districts of Dhanbad, Deoghar, Giridih and Bokaro will go to polls in this phase on Monday. Out of these, five constituencies –  Bagodar, Jamua, Giridih, Dumri and Tundi are Naxal-infested.
