Shardul Thakur to replace injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar for West Indies ODIs

Chennai., December 14:

Mumbai pacer Shardul Thakur has been named as the replacement for the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the three-match One-Day International series against West Indies. The first match will be played in Chennai tomorrow.

Thakur had featured in Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy game against Baroda in Vadodara, which concluded on Thursday. The 29-year-old Bhuvneshwar Kumar had complained of pain in his right groin after the final T20 International against West Indies in Mumbai on last Wednesday.

This is the second change to the original squad announced by the selectors after Shikhar Dhawan was replaced by Karnataka batsman Mayank Agarwal.
