PM Modi Stresses On Value Addition Of Raw Materials,Minerals For World Market Rather Than Export

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday stressed the need for value addition of minerals and manufacture of quality finished goods for World market rather than exports of raw materials.
Dedicating the nation the Rs.12,000 crore modernized and expanded units of Rourkela Steel Plant in Odisha, Prime Minister Modi said that the economy of the nation would be strengthened by exporting the quality products in international market.
India is rich with natural resources and raw materials need to be processed for value addition to fetch high price in international market, he said adding the quality should not compromised.
Modi was addressing a public meeting after the inauguration of modermised and expanded Steel projects in SAIL’s Rourkela Steel Mill coinciding the Odisha Day. He congratulated the people of Odisha on the occasion.
With the operation of the new and modernised facilities, RSP’s production Capacity would be increased from 2 to 4.5 Million Ton Per Annum. This is RSP’s second modernization work .
Modi said that Rourkela Steel Plant is linked to the national Security and prosperity as the produced high quality steel is being utilized in making defence equipments .
Stating that Center and States are equal partners in development and prosperity of the country, Modi said that since his becoming Prime Minister , he had been focusing on cooperative federalism.
Modi said , “ I am your ( Sevadar) servant , not a Prime Minister . We will work together for the development of the nation, he said.
Stating that during the last decade , investors have turned their face from investing India , he said we want the world to invest in India and his government has initiated steps to create conducive environment for the investors . The foreign investors would get more than the desired benefit , eh said.
Modi further said that nation would progress , if youth get skilled.
On the upcoming Navakalevar of Lord Jagannath, the Prime Minister assured the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to provide all possible cooperation and assistance and announced Rs.50 crore financial aid for organizing Navakevar.
Among others, Union Tribal Affairs Minister , Jual Oram, Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar , Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha Governor Dr.SC Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik were present on the occasion.
