MP High Court Nullifies Election Of BJP MLA Rajendra Meshram

The Madhya Pradesh High court has declared the election of BJP MLA Rajendra Meshram from Devsar assembly constituency of Singrauli district null and void.
The court disqualified . Meshram for violation of Representation of People’s Act.
Congress backed candidate from Devsar segment Vanshmani Verma in the last assembly elections had challenged the election of the BJP MLA.
Meshram was a registered voter in Singrauli constituency and he contested from Devsar. It was mandatory for him to submit certified copies of voters list of Singrauli while contesting elections.
On the other hand the Indore bench of the state high court has directed police to register a criminal case against Member of Parliament from Ujjain, Chintaman Malviya.
Malviya had furnished false information to the court in a case filed to challenge his election.
