Daily Covid recoveries continue to outnumber new cases for 9th consecutive day; Recovery rate improves to 87.76%
New Delhi, May 22
India’s daily Covid recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the ninth consecutive day.
The Nation is also witnessing substantial decrease in total number of active cases and the Covid recovery rate has further spiked to 87.76 per cent.
So far, over two crore 30 lakh people have recovered from the COVID-19 infection in the country.
The Health Ministry has informed that in the past 24 hours, over three lakh 57 thousand COVID patients successfully recovered from the disease whereas in the same time span over two lakh 57 thousand fresh cases have been recorded nationwide.
Over four thousand COVID related deaths have also been reported in the last 24 hours.
Currently over 29 lakh people are infected by Coronavirus in the country.
The number of cumulative COVID-19 testing reported by Indian Council of Medical Research has surpassed the figure of 32 crore 64 lakh.
In the past 24 hours, around 21 lakh samples have been tested in the country.
Over 19 crore 33 lakh vaccination have been done till now in the country.
