Delhi HC Denies Permission To TERRI Director RK Pachauri To Travel Abroad

Delhi High Court Thursday denied permission to TERI Director R K Pachauri to travel abroad for a summit. Pachauri faces allegations of sexually harassing a woman employee.

After the Court denied him permission, he withdrew his plea. Justice S P Garg disagreed with the request of Pachauri that he should be allowed to attend the summit in Greece.

Justice Garg said the trial court has already imposed certain conditions on Pachauri that he should not go abroad till the pendency of trial.

The court refused to grant the relief after the police informed it that the investigation is at the initial stage and the accused would escape the probe after going abroad.
