India achieves another milestone in COVID-19 vaccination; Crosses 49 Crore mark
New Delhi, August 06
Union Health Ministry said, more than 49 crore 53 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. More than 57 lakh 97 thousand vaccine doses were administered during the last 24 hours.
The Ministry also said the National Covid recovery rate is presently at 97.36 per cent. More than 41 thousand patients recovered during last 24 hours. Till now, more than three crore ten lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.
India reported over 44 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload is now at 4 lakh 14 thousand 159. Active cases constitute 1.30 per cent of total cases. Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and it is currently at 2.41 per cent. Daily positivity rate is at 2.72 per cent and it is less than 3 per cent for last 11 days. 464 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. Till now 4 lakh 26 thousand 754 people have lost their lives in the pandemic.
