Railways Win 5th Senior Men’s National Hockey Championship

Railways won Senior Men’s National Hockey championship.Railway Sports Promotion Board on Tuesday won the 5th Senior Men’s National Hockey Championship 2015 as they defeated Uttar Pradesh Hockey by 5-3 in the highly-contested final match in Pune.

In the 3rd Position match, Air India Sports Promotion Board outplayed Hockey Gangpur-Odisha by 5-3.Indivijual awardees in this tournament are Arpit Chaudhari, Jharkhand-Best Goal Keeper, Amit Rohidas, Railways –

Best Defender, Jasjeet Singh, Railways – Best Mid Fielder and Lalit Upadhyay Utter Pradesh – Best Forward. Vikramjeet Singh of Punjab was judged as the Promising player of the championship and Akash Chikate was judged as the Promising player from Maharashtra.
