Center to set up Commercial benches in High Courts to resolve financial cases : Law Minister

Union Law minister D V Sadananda Gowda Tuesday said that commercial benches will be set up in high courts to resolve financial cases.

Stating that the speedy disposal of commercial cases is the need of the hour ,Gowda told newsmen at Guwahati that the Centre will amend the Arbitration Act in the coming session of the Parliament to gear up ease of doing business in the country.

The Minister also said that India should be seen as investors’ friendly country and the government is working on it.

He assured that government is ready to discuss all issues related to it in the Parliament for the interest of farmers including Land Ordinance.

Earlier,Gowda reviewed the legal systems and infrastructure related issues of Assam with senior officials in Guwahati. He said that the Centre is committed to give importance for the development of North East. Gowda said that Rs 4,000 crore will be spent on Information Technology initiatives across the country by his ministry.
