Not Aware That Bus Belongs To Company Owned BY Her Family : Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal Thursday said she is not aware of the bus in which tragic incident took place in Moga, Punjab belongs to a company owned by her family.

On Wednesday , a girl died and her mother was hospitalized after they jumped from a running bus resisting molestation attempts by some people.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Ms. Badal said she came to know about the bus ownership through media and she is analysing the facts.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who is also the chief minister’s daughter-in-law, strongly condemned the incident and said she would inquire about the company that owns the bus.

“I will check who owns the bus. I read about the incident only in the papers this morning. I strongly condemn what happened. The trend of violence against women in the country must be addressed earnestly,” she said.

She also said the two accused were immediately detained and investigation is on. The Minister said, such act is unacceptable and must be condemned in strongest possible words.
