Center To Organise Camps To Give PAN Card To Farmers, Rural People

The Centre will organise camps in the rural areas to give the Permanent Account Number, PAN card to farmers and rural peoples.

Announcing this in the Lok Sabha Thursday , Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the camps will be organised on the lines of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana so that farmers and other poor people get PAN cards within 48 hours.

Jaitley said the Government has made it compulsory to produce PAN card for cash transaction of over one lakh rupees for purchasing jewellery items.
