Center Committed To Provide Assistance To States Meet Naxal Challenges : Rajnath

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has assured that the Union Government is committed to meet the Naxal challenge and it would provide all the necessary assistance to the states during this endeavour.
He was speaking to reporters in Nagpur Thursday after holding a high-level review meeting of the Anti-Naxal Operations in the Eastern Vidarbha region.
He further said that peaceful and conducive atmosphere is vitally essential for ensuring speedy and inclusive development of the hitherto neglected and backward regions of the country. Therefore, there is a need to bring the Naxal elements in the national mainstream and the Government is ready and willing to talk to them.
Replying to queries, the Minister said that the all-round performance of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance Government at the Centre has been excellent during the first year of its tenure.
He dwelt upon the historic measures adopted by the Government in various sectors and added that the prestige and stature of our country has improved considerably by virtue of these efforts.
Maharashtra Chief Secretary Mr. Swadhin Kshatriya, Director General of State Police , Sanjiv Dayal along with other top officials from the Naxal-affected districts of Gadchiroli, Chan
