Fresh Quake Toll In Nepal Reaches 96 , Over 2,500 Injured

The death toll from the Tuesday’s quake and aftershocks in Nepal has so far reached 96 while the score of injured recorded at 2,563.

The deaths are 11 in Kathmandu Valley, 54 in Dolakha, 16 in Sindhupalchowk, 11 in Ramechhap, and the rest in other parts, said Nepal Police’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kamal Singh Bam.

As many as 54 persons were killed in the powerful aftershock measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, which struck on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Home Affairs a while ago, the death toll from the April 25 Gorkha quake was 8,154 and from the aftershocks that struck the country on Tuesday was 65.
