Aditya Prasad Padhi New Chief Secretary Of Odisha

Aditya Prasad Padhi will assume the charge as the new Chief Secretary of Odisha tomorrow- Monday.

Padhi, an IAS officer of the 1983 batch, is currently working as additional chief secretary to Chief Minister. He will replace Mr G C Pati who will superannuate tomorrow.

Notification regarding Padhis appointment was made by the general administration department yesterday after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaiks approval.

The government has made a minor reshuffle at the top bureaucratic level following the appointment of Padhi as the chief secretary.

The government has appointed development commissioner Upendranath Behera as the additional chief secretary to the CM.

Additional chief secretary (finance) R Balkrishnan has been appointed as the new development commissioner. He will continue as the additional chief secretary of finance department.

Similarly, commissioner-cum-secretary in women and child development department Vishal Dev will hold the additional charge of special secretary to finance department.BM
