AP Govt. Decides To Allow Foreign Institutions To Set Up Campuses In State

Andhra Pradesh has decided to permit foreign institutions to establish their campuses in the state. It has considered the decision for permitting 15 foreign universities and 20 other universities in the country to establish their campuses in the State.

Andhra Pradesh has also decided to abolish VAT (Value-added tax) , CST (Central Sales Tax) on Sugar factories. These decisions were considered at the State Cabinet meeting, in Vijayawada Wednesday chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Informing the Cabinet decisions to the media Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu, said that the Cabinet had approved to do away the VAT and CST taxes on sugar factories and a bill in this regard would be tabled in the Assembly.
