Arun Jaitley Inaugurates Vividh Bharati Service Of Delhi FM Mode , Says Mobile Application Of DD and AIR News soon

Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley Tuesday inaugurated the Vividh Bharati Service of Delhi on FM Mode. The service will be available on 100.1 Megahertz frequency.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaitley said this service will be available on mobile phone also. The Minister said, in recent times, there has been a demand for Vividh Bharti to be available on FM mode so that listeners can enjoy the programmes without any hitch.
Jaitley said through FM, Vividh Bharati will be able to reach out to more listeners. The minister also said DD Kisan channel will be launched in May.
Later, talking to media, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said medium wave has its own shortcomings, whereas FM has clearer quality and is available on mobiles as well. He said the mobile application of DD News and AIR News will be launched soon.
The function which was held at premises of New Broadcasting House of All India Radio was attended by Prasar Bharti chairman A Surya Prakash and Prasar Bharti CEO Jawhar Sircar.
