Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Meets PM Modi , Urges To Compensate Loss Due To Implementation of 14th FC Award

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to compensate the losses suffered by his state due to implementation of the 14th Finance Commission recommendations.

Talking to reporters after meeting . Modi in New Delhi, Kumar claimed that Bihar will lose 50 thousand crore rupees due to implementation of the recommendations.

He said that he also raised the issue of special assistance that Bihar used to get under Backward Regions Grant Fund.

It was Kumar’s first meeting with Modi after his party JD(U) had snapped its 17 year alliance with BJP in 2013 following the projection of Narendra Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate for the last Lok Sabha elections.
