Bihar floor test ends in anti-climax: CM Manjhi resigns ahead of trust vote and recommends dissolution of assembly

Jitan Ram Manjhi Friday resigned as Bihar Chief Minister ahead of trust vote in the floor of the house .
With the floor test ended in anti-claimax, the ball is now in the court of Governor Keshari Nath Tripathy.
Manjhi who submitted his resignation ahead of the crucial trust vote recommended the Governor for the dissolution of the Bihar Assembly
The Amritlal Meena , Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, confirmed the resignation of Manjhi.
Earlier today, Manjhi had called on the Governor Tripathi just hours before the crucial trust vote. With Manjhi’s resignation, the trust vote will not be required and JD (U) leader is set to stake claiam for form the next Government .
Reacting over Manjhis action, JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar alleged that the BJP game plan to impose president’s rule in Bihar had been thoroughly exposed. Manjhi should have been resigned earlier without take the drama route, he said.
On the other hand, Manjhi after his resignation told media persons, made explosive allegations that he was forced to resign as his supporter Ministers and MLAs were being threatened .
I resigned because I was threatened and my MLAs received death threats, he alleged .
