BJP forms eight member panel on Land Acquisition Bill

BJP President Amit Shah Tuesday announced the formation of an eight-member committee to seek suggestions from farming organizations and farmers on controversiala Land Acquisition bill.

The Committee, headed by former Union Minister Satyapal Malik, has six party MPs including Bhupendra Yadav, Rakesh Singh and Hukumdev Narayan Yadav.

The move comes in the wake of strong protests by Social Activist Anna Hazare and opposition parties and entire opposition parties on the Land Acquisition bill saying it is anti-farmer.
