BJP will not take support of AIUDF in forming govt in Assam: Sonowal

Union Sports minister and BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate in Assam Sarbanand Sonowal said that his party will not take support of AIUDF in forming government.

Talking to newspersons in Guwahati this evening, he exuded confidence that BJP will show good results in the State. Citing the example of exit poll, Mr. Sonowal claimed that people in Assam have given votes for change.

On the other hand, the Congress has said that result of exit polls was not based on facts. Congress Spokesperson Apurba Bhattacharya claimed that Congress will show good result in Assam.

AIR reports that several exit polls predicted a win for BJP led alliance in Assam. Counting for the 126 assembly seats will be held on Thursday.
