Bodies of 3 minors recovered from well, mother absconding

Bodies of three children were recovered from a well by the fire brigade personnel at Gurujang village under Kishore Nagar police station in Angul district today.

The villagers spotted the three children inside the well and informed the fire brigade personnel, who reached the spot, rescued them and rushed them to a nearby local hospital, where the doctors declared them as brought dead.

The deceased, all in between the age group of one to six years, have been identified as Brundaban, Rohit and Rohan.

The mother of the deceased, however, absconded from the spot and the villagers suspected her role in throwing the children into the well.

Sources said the mother of the deceased was very much upset for the last few days as her husband, arrested in a Ganja trade case, was sentenced to jail custody.
