BSNL registers profit of Rs 4000 crore: Govt

The Public Sector telecom giant, BSNL has improved its operational profit.

IT and Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told the Rajya Sabha Friday that the company which suffered huge losses for the past few years, has registered a profit of 4000 crore rupees.

Responding to supplimentraies during the Question Hour, the Minister said the public sector company is also investing in new technologies due to ever increasing demand for emerging technologies.

He further said BSNL is adding 20 lakh new customers every day.
