Budget Session of Parliament On, Govt Committed to Stop Generation of Black Money : Mukherjee

The Budget session of Parliament began Monday with President Pranab Mukherjee’s address to the members of both the houses.

Laying out Government of India’s road map President in his address said that Government is committed to stop generation of Black Money .

Focusing on the achievements , Mukherjee said that inflation rate had come down due to various steps taken by the Union Government.

Asserting that the fundamental tenet of the government is development of all, President said “the fundamental tenet is ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas’ (taking everyone along, development of all),”
Government had taken several initiatives including smart cities, skill development, ease of doing business and tapping the country’s demographic dividend, he said adding the focus is on wholistic development of every persons including the sustainable growth of rural India.
He announced that Government had targeted to provide house for all by 2010 and to ensure afforadable and accessible health care for all.
He also said that the Government was committed for the safety of women and protection of girl child.
During the session important legislations which are scheduled to be tabled include replacing ordinances on raising the foreign investment limit in insurance , auctioning coal mines and changing the rules of land acquisition.

The budget session includes 44 items of financial, legislative and non-legislative business. The Juvenile Justice (Care and protection of Children) Bill, The Labour Code on Wages Bill , The small factories (regulation of employment and condition of services) Bill, and The Labour Code on Industrial Relations Bill will also come up during the session.
