Burdwan Blast Suspect Arrested From Jharkhand

A Burdwan blast suspect was arrested near Tilbitha Railway Station in Pakur district of Jharkhand Saturday .
Briefing reporters Sunday the Pakur Superintendent of Police Anup Birtheray said that Ibrahim Sheikh alias Lal Mohammand, who had come from Mushidabad in West Bengal, was arrested. He is suspected to be a member of the banned Bangladesh-based terror outfit Jamat-ul-Mujahideen.
A CID team from West Bengal would interrogate him for his alleged link with the Burdwan blast in October last year, the SP said.
Sheikh was also the in-charge of Murshidabad-based Fatima-tul-Johar Banat Madarsa, which had been sealed after the blast in Burdwan in West Bengal. A country-made revolver, four country-made bombs and a mobile chip were recovered from his possession, the SP added.
