Campaigning for 4th phase of UP Assembly polls ends

In the last day of campaigning, Allahabad was the major centre where BJP president Amit Shah, SP-Congress alliance leaders Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, and BJP-ally-Apana Dal President Anupriya Patel conducted road shows and also addressed public meetings. Large number of people attended the both the shows and greeted the leaders on the route.

Amit Shah sharply criticised the Samajwadi Party government in the state. BSP supremo Mayawati targeted BJP and SP on several issues while addressing rallies in Gonda and Basti districts.

BJP leader and union Minister Santosh Gangwar said at Lucknow that the party is committed to good governance and development of the state.

The Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav criticized central government for ignoring development works in the state. He said, his government is engaged round the clock in development of the state.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister on demonetization issue and said he made several promises but not a single promise was fulfilled by him.

A total of 630 candidates including 50 women are in the fray in the fourth phase of elections.
