CCPA Recommends President To Reconvene Rajya Sabha On April 23

Rajya Sabha will be convened on the 23rd of this month. Official sources said the session will continue till 13th of next month. Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs made a recommendation to President Pranab Mukherjee in this regard.

The meeting, chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh, was attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu and other members of the committee in New Delhi this afternoon. Earlier, 234th session of Rajya Sabha was prorogued by the President paving the way for the re-promulgation of Land Acquisition Ordinance.

The Lok Sabha will resume proceedings from 20th of this month as per schedule after month long recess.
