Center Issues Advisory To J&K Govt , Asks To Pursue Criminal Cases Against Masarat

The Centre has issued an advisory to Jammu and Kashmir government to vigorously pursue all the 27 criminal cases lying against the Kashmiri separatist Masarat Alam, who was released from jail last week.
Making a statement in the Rajya Sabha Thursday , Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the state has also been asked to take steps to challenge cases against Masarat in the courts.
The Minister said the Centre has also asked the state government to have surveillance and monitoring in close tandem with central agencies on Masarat and his associates.
The Home Minister said that if anything come into notice against the country’s security and safety, appropriate action will be taken.
