Chennai To Host Grand Masters Chess From Jan 18

The 8th Chennai Open International Grandm Masters Chess Tournament” will be held here from Jan 18 to 25.
As many as 215 players will be vying for honors in this important competition in the calendar of All India Chess Federation every year.
Some of the top players who will be seen in action in the tournament include Grachev Boris- Russia, Popov Ivan Russia,David Alberto Italy,Demchenko Anton- Russia, Solodovnichenko Yuri- Ukraine, Sivuk Vitaly-Ukraine, Mozharov Mikhail-Russia, MBelous Vladimir-Russia, M Tukhaev Adam- Ukraine, Bernadskiy Vitaliy- Ukraine,
Of the total prize money of Rs.11 lakh, the winner will take home Rs. 2 lakh, the runner up Rs 1.5 lakh and the third placed player Rs 1 lakh.
