Chhattisgarh Govt announces electricity rebate to steel industry

The Chhattisgarh Government Monday announced a rebate of Rs 1.40 a unit on electricity to the steel industry in the state.

According to an Energy Department statement, the new price structure for the steel industry would be retrospectively effective from April 1.

The decision was taken with a view to keep the steel industry in the state in a competitive environment.
