Constitution Of India Does Not Mention Any Special Status To J & K : Minister Choudhary
11 March, New Delhi
Minister of State for Home, Haribhai Chaudhary clarified in the Rajya Sabha today that the Constitution of India does not mention any special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Article 370 makes only temporary provisions with respect to the State. He said, no special concessions have been granted to Jammu and Kashmir which are unavailable to the other States.
Hence, there is no question of discrimination. In reply to another question he denied any special status to the State which deserves to be scrapped.
