DDCA Irregularities: AAP’s Fresh Set Of Five Questions To Jaitley
19 December, New Delhi
Sharpening its attack on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today again posed five new questions to him about his involvement in the multi-crore Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) scam.
Addressing a joint press conference here, AAP leaders Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh said, ” Jaitley cannot deter the AAP by fielding proxies or sending legal notices through them.”
”He will have to come clean on the issue of rampant corruption under him in the DDCA. Instead of responding to specific issues of corruption raised by the Aam Aadmi Party, Jaitley is making his men sent legal notices to us,” said Ashutosh.
“We are not scared and will respond to the legal notice but there are five more questions for Jaitley that he needs to answer instead of resorting to diversionary tactics”, he added.
Questioning Jaitley to clarify whether Lokesh Sharma, Managing Director of 21st Century Media Private Limited, was his family friend or a business associate, he said, Jaitley, did you or any of your family members or relations ever held any position in 21stCentury Media Private Limited or any company related to Lokesh Sharma?
Asking about the six-fold increase in the assets in such a short period, he said, Mr Jaitley, in 2006, you declared assets of only Rs 23.86 crore and in 2012, you declared assets of Rs 120 crore. What is the basis of the six-fold increase in your assets in such a short period? Which business model did you follow?
According to AAP leaders, three companies Stream Marketing Private Limited, Ultimate IT Solutions Pvt Ltd and Advent Trading Private Limited — were allegedly paid lakhs for carrying out various works at Feroz Shah Kotla ground by the DDCA.
