Delhi Govt. Re-Launches Anti-Corruption Helpline Number 1031

Delhi government Sunday re-launched the anti-corruption helpline to curb corruption in government offices.

Inaugurating the helpline number 1031, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, the new service will be used by people to lodge complaints, if they are harassed for bribe by the government officials.

He expressed confidence that his government will make the national capital corruption free.

Kejriwal said, that people trusted the party and voted for it in large number because during their last term of 49 days, the party managed to bring an end to corruption in the city.

He promised that in five years, Delhi will be ranked among top corruption-free cities in the world.

The anti-corruption helpline was first launched during Aam Aadmi Party’s 49-day stint in power after the 2013 Assembly elections, but was later discontinued.

Reviving the helpline was one of the major poll promises made by the party this year. Delhi Chief Minister said, his government will take action against his own minister and MLAs if they are found corrupt.

Kejriwal said, even Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and he will be jailed if found corrupt.
