DTC Drivers Call Off Strike

Delhi Transport Corporation, DTC drivers Tuesday called of their strike. The decision came following a meeting between representative of DTC drivers and Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai.

Sources said, Delhi Government has agreed for a job to the slain driver’s family.

The drivers were on strike to protest against the murder of their colleague in a road rage incident two days back.
Earlier ,in order to restore normalcy in transport services, the Delhi government has clamped Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against the agitating staff asking them to join their duties.

The government action came after people across the city faced a tough time commuting in the absence of DTC buses.
