Duty-free import of 20 lakh tonnes of crude soyabean and sunflower oil per annum allowed by Centre for two years

New Delhi, May 25

The Centre has allowed import of 20 Lakh Metric Tonnes each of Crude Soybean Oil and Crude Sunflower Seed Oil per year for a period of two years at a nil rate of customs duty and Agricultural Infrastructure and Development Cess.

This will provide significant relief to the consumers. The exemption from customs duty and Agricultural Infrastructure and Development Cess will be effective from today.
