Fiber Net To be Available Across Andhra Pradesh In Next 3 years

Fiber Net would be available across Andhra Pradesh in the next 2-3 years.
During a review meet with Information Technology Advisor J Satyanarayana, IT Secretary B Sreedhar and representatives of IT industry, State Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said the Fiber Net would be available with a minimum Bandwidth of 10 Mbps for households at the district headquarters.
All educational institutions, health institutions, skill development institutions may be provided the net connection free of cost. He said a consultant would be appointed by the end of April to look into the matter.
The Chief Secretary informed that Public-Private Partnership (PPP) or Joint Venture (JV) partner for both infrastructure and digital corporation entities would be selected on a competitive bid process and tariffs for both bulk and end-user would be decided by Fiber Corp subject to TRAI Regulations.
