FIR against DCW chief Swati Maliwal in illegal recruitment case

20 September, New Delhi

Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has registered an FIR against Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal in connection with alleged illegal recruitment in the panel.

ACB Chief Mukesh Kumar Meena said that the FIR was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Ms Maliwal was yesterday questioned for over two hours by ACB officials in the case.

ACB took over the probe on a complaint filed by former DCW Chief Barkha Shukla Singh who alleged that several AAP supporters were given plum posts in the women’s panel. She listed the names of 85 people who got jobs without requisite credentials.
