Fresh Quake Claims 18 Lives In Bihar. Over 50 Injured

At least 18 people have been killed and over 50 injured in earthquake related incidents in Bihar Tuesday .

Six people were killed in Patna and Sitamarhi while four deaths have been reported from Saran and West Champaran. Eight casualities have been reported from Darbhanga, Siwan, Shekhpura, Katihar , Nawada , East Champaran, Kishanganj and Samastipur.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed to intensify relief and rescue operations in affected areas of the state.

The state government has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the next kin of those who killed in earthquake related incident. Government also ordered closing of all schools from tomorrow in view of earthquake.
