Gadkari Dares Opposition To Prove Charges Of Corruption Against Him

Roads, Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today said he will resign from his post if opposition charges of corruption levelled against him are proven.
The Minister said he is even ready to resign as MP. Gadkari was responding to clarifications sought by members on CAG’s observations on a private company owned by his family.

Congress members repeatedly disrupted the proceedings. They surged into the well shouting slogans. There were heated exchanges between the Opposition and the Treasury benches, forcing the Chair to adjourn the House twice during the post lunch session. As a result, the House could transact very little of its listed business.

The pre-lunch session also witnessed uproarious scenes with four adjournments. The Gadkari issue was raised by Shantaram Naik of the Congress on Friday.
