Govt. of India formulates National Health Policy with special focus on “Ayush” system

Government of India is preparing a National Health Policy with special focus on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, ‘AYUSH’ system.
This was stated by Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare, Sripad Naik while inaugurating ‘Rashtriya Aarogya Mela in Jaipur.
He said that the Union Government is in the process of preparing a ‘health policy’ and would notify the same very soon. The policy would lay emphasis on the AYUSH system, Naik said .
