Govt. of India receives 130 preliminary bids for 21 Coal Blocks in 2nd trench of auction

The Government of India Sunday received 130 preliminary bids from companies for 21 coal blocks on offer in the second tranche of ongoing auction.
A maximum of 16 bids came for Utkal coal block in Odisha while a block in Chhattisgarh received 13 bids from various bidders.

Official sources said in New Delhi that the response has been as per expectations and most of the major players from private sector participated in the auction.
On Saturday , GMR and Reliance Cement bagged one mine each after auction.
