Gujarat: Man awarded death sentence for rape, murder of 3-year-old girl
Surat, July 31:
A Surat court in Gujarat today awarded death sentence to a man who had raped and murdered a 3-year-old girl.
The court of Additional Session Judge P S Kala held the 24-year-old accused Anil Yadav guilty under various sections of the IPC and protection of Children from Sexual Offences -POCSO Act.
The convict put the body of the girl in a gunny sack and fled to his native place in Bihar from where he was arrested after four days.
Medical examination also confirmed the rape.
